Meet our Expert Panel:

Joe DeCosmo
CAO and CTO at Enova
Joe joined Enova in 2014 and serves as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Analytics Officer. Prior to working at Enova, he served as Director and Practice Leader of Advanced Analytics for Chicago-based West Monroe Partners. He also held a number of executive positions at HAVI and the Allant Group. Joe received a BA in Economics from Lewis University and an MA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He currently serves on the boards of the Chicago Chapter of the American Statistical Association and the UIC College of Business Administration. Joe lives in the Chicago area with his wife and daughters.

David Galinsky
Global Head of Data Strategy and Analytics at Abercrombie & Fitch
David Galinsky is the Global Head of Data Strategy and Analytics at Abercrombie & Fitch, where he oversees enterprise business intelligence, customer data strategy and data governance across North America, Europe/Middle East and Asia-Pacific. In his role, he has helped Abercrombie migrate to a cloud data and analytics stack, stand up a new business reporting structure and launch an org wide data governance program. Prior to Abercrombie & Fitch, David spent 7 years at McDonald’s Corporation where he led CRM and Loyalty Analytics in both the US and international lead markets. David was born and raised in the north suburbs and currently resides in Sauganash with his wife Sivan, daughter Naomi and son Oren. In his spare time, he likes enjoys biking, watching westerns and trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to smoke meats.

David Mullen
Vice President of Analytics Strategy at Gallagher Bassett
David Mullen is the Vice President of Analytics Strategy at Gallagher Bassett, a global insurance third party administrator. He has fifteen years of Fortune 500 leadership experience in analytics and corporate strategy, focusing on linking analytics to business strategies to help C-Suite leaders make their most important decisions. His roles have included scenario analysis for long-term strategic planning, developing insights to improve results forecasting, and defining critical outcomes to help focus business strategies. He lives in Mount Prospect, IL with his wife and two children.

Crystal Son
Executive Director of Enterprise Data Analytics and AI at Healthcare Service Corporation (HCSC)
Crystal Son is an Executive Director of Enterprise Data Analytics and AI at Healthcare Service Corporation (HCSC), which operates Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. She has 18 years of experience in deriving intelligence from data, first as technical contributor and now as a leader and organizer of diverse teams. She is passionate about real-world applications of data-driven insights, storytelling through data, and building high-performance analytics and data science teams.
Prior to joining HCSC in October 2022, Crystal held several roles at Civis Analytics, including delivery of analytics advisory services, management of healthcare and government customer portfolios, and the build and GTM for several products. In March 2020, she led a private sector + public sector team of academic researchers, data scientists, engineers and communications experts appointed by Gov. JB Pritzker to inform decisionmaking and outreach campaigns during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Illinois.
She began her career in data as a public health epidemiologist first for the City of New York, then with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as an infection control epidemiologist. She now calls downtown Chicago home, where she lives with her spouse and three children.
