Our Board

Bill Bernabei
Bill Bernabei serves as the Executive Managing Director of the Business Analytics Group deployed across CBRE’s Occupier business delivering operational and integrated insights to Occupier clients. He directly oversees the Business Analytics team globally that delivers business intelligence solutions across the organization, supports embedded strategists, provides variable consulting services and promotes the enablement of a data driven culture to accelerate the making informed decisions based on insights derived from data across the organization. Bill also serves as an advisor and strategist on CBRE strategic initiatives, such as our overall Digital and Technology strategy and the overall business analytics roadmap.

JoAnna Ecke
JoAnna Ecke recently joined Allied Benefit Systems to develop/execute the Data Management and Reporting Modernization Strategy. Allied is the largest, independent third-party administrator in the United States, developing healthcare solutions for self insured employers. Prior to Allied, JoAnna held the role of Senior Director of Clinical Product Development & Analytics at Optum Rx. In this role, she is responsible for driving clinical product development and the analytics platform strategy to support predictive analytics and data visualization. Prior to the clinical focus, she managed the development and operations of the Data Warehouse Business Intelligence & Analytics platforms at CatamaranRx. Previous to her role at Catamaran, JoAnna held several technology leadership roles at HAVI Global Solutions to support Global Supply Chain Analytics and Promotions Management. JoAnna brings over twenty years of technology experience in the areas of business process automation, global data management and business intelligence. JoAnna earned a BA in Accounting and an MS in Management Information Systems from North Central College.

Adam McElhinney
Adam oversees a team of 65 data scientists, software engineers, data engineers and product managers. Formerly, he was Head of Data Science at Uptake Technologies, where he led a team of 75 Data Scientists building cutting-edge industrial data analytics tools. Additionally, Adam is an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science and Mathematics departments at Illinois Institute of Technology. Adam holds a Masters in Statistics from University of Illinois-Chicago and has undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Economics and Political Science from Indiana University-Bloomington. Additionally, Adam has filed 19 patents for his research in machine learning, internet of things (IOT), software engineering and big data technology.

Dan Pikelny
Dan Pikelny is a senior leader in HR and Enterprise Analytics with experience successfully working with the Board of Directors, activist, and private equity investors. Following many years at Navistar where he led the development and implementation of HR strategies, Dan was promoted to lead enterprise analytics for the company. Dan recently returned to HR, taking a leadership role at ADT. As the Chief Analytics Officer for Navistar, Dan led a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts working to improve the company’s ability to model, predict, and improve decision making and operational performance. Prior to Navistar, he led an analytics consulting group for a health plan and provided operations research consulting in the pharmaceutical industry. Dan’s academic background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwestern University in applied math and economics, as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Dan Reaume
Dan Reaume has over 25 years of experience leading the development and delivery of analytic solutions and strategies for several of the world’s largest and most iconic companies. After completing his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, Dan joined GM R&D, where he was awarded GM’s top technical award on three occasions, rose to the rank of technical fellow, and led GM’s Senior Leadership Technical Council. He subsequently held leadership positions with Dow Corning, Dow Chemical, and Revenue Analytics before assuming his current role as Chief Analytics Director for Cat Digital, leading a team of over 100 data scientists applying analytics to IoT monitoring, aftermarket sales, e-Commerce, and business optimization.

Rich Rooney
Rich Rooney is currently Senior Director of Sales Analytics at Epsilon, a division of Publicis Groupe. At Epsilon, Rich develops custom analytic products and services leveraging Epsilon’s large volume of digital click-stream data. Prior to joining Epsilon, Rich held analytics leadership roles at HAVI Global Solutions(HGS) where he led analytic teams that focused on Marketing, Operational and Supply Chain analytics that supported HAVI’s services for McDonald’s. Prior to HGS, Rich spent 8 years at Information Resources (IRI) in their analytic Research and Development group. Rich also spent some time with Cambridge Technology Partners working as a consultant in their Data Warehouse domain. Along with his work on the ALN Board, Rich is also, currently, the President of the Chicago Chapter of the American Statistical Association. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Miami University (OH) and a Master’s in Economics also from Miami.

Chuck Sample
Chuck Sample is the VP of Insights and Analytics at US Foods. Chuck leads a team of nearly 100 professionals that support all aspects of analytics across the enterprise including data/BI governance, forecasting, business analytics, data science, predictive analytics and deep learning. Within this team are R&D capabilities branded ‘Food Genius’ with a key focus on restaurant operations and market data intended for vendor and operator syndication/monetization. Additionally, embedded within the Insights & Analytics team are strategy, change management, and program management professionals who, under the brand ‘CookBook’, identify business opportunities with significant growth and/or profit improvement potential through the deployment of prescriptive analytics. This internal consulting team builds business cases, develops pilots integrating process design, tool development, change management and advanced analytics, and manages roll-out deployment.

Sudeshna Sen
Sudeshna Sen is an Executive Vice President at dentsu International who currently heads dentsu X and 360i’s media effectiveness practice. She is a data-driven, customer-centric business leader and bring 15+ years of B2B and B2C experience in driving sustainable and scalable growth across SMB and large enterprises. Prior to joining dentsu International, she held key leadership positions in Merkle and PTV Group with focus on driving and accelerating business strategy, performance and impact. Sudeshna is an industry thought leader with multiple publications in the Drum, CustomerThink, NonProfitPRO and BenefitsPRO. She has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, MS from University of Illinois at Chicago, and BS from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur.

Steven Wheeler
Steven Wheeler is the Vice President of Business Intelligence and Data for Gallagher Basset, a division of Arthur J. Gallagher where he is responsible for defining the strategy and business technical capabilities for their analytical and data platforms. Prior to joining Gallagher Bassett, Steven held key positions in overseeing the execution and buildout of their analytics and data platforms for Sears, Cars.com, and McDonalds. Steven’s passion lies in areas of Analytics/Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, and Data/Big Data Integration. Steve’s experience in directing large IT teams has repeatedly demonstrated success in delivering transformational technology solutions. He is a results focused leader, strong mentor/coach that builds high-performing teams that exceed expectation. Steven holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Grand Canyon University.
