Large datasets and complex business problems present a significant challenge for analytics professionals when it comes to finding and presenting actionable insights to their organization’s decision makers.  Successful analysts must balance applying advanced analytic techniques with intuitive presentation approaches to influence leaders to act on their data.  While many analysts have mastered the former, the latter continues to pose a problem for even the most advanced analytics and data science professionals.

Experienced data story tellers apply visualization and discovery tools and best practices to focus decision makers on the data, and insights, that matter most.  At this ALN Executive Forum breakfast, attendees will hear how three companies leverage data visualization and discovery to tell their data stories.  Each of our three presenters will share actual use case examples that include:

  • Background on their business problem and analytic hypothesis
  • Their approach for applying data visualization or data discovery to their problem along with challenges and lessons learned
  • A demonstration of the actual data visualization / discovery
  • Review of their data story and the business results it enabled

Prior to joining Gallagher Bassett, Sandip worked as a management consultant at Gallagher Corporate and Deloitte Consulting focusing on business transformation initiatives and new product development to drive profitable growth for clients in the Insurance industry.

Brian Johnson

Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Rising Medical Solution

Brian Johnson is the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Rising Medical Solution where he has overseen their data warehouse and analytic capabilities for the last 6 years. Brian’s technology background spans nearly two decades in several leadership and technical roles developing data solutions at companies such as Heidrick & Struggles and Potbelly’s. Brian currently leads a talented team that develops healthcare related data products and services on the Amazon AWS cloud computing platform. Brian has a B.S. in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University.

Yannick Koger

Director of Marketing Analytics at HAVI

Yannick Koger is the Director of Marketing Analytics at HAVI where he leads an analytics consulting and data science group for QSR clients. His team is focused on helping clients solve marketing problems by applying advanced analytics techniques to provide actionable business recommendations. Prior to HAVI, Yannick spent approximately 10 years as an analytics consultant for IRI as well as a digital marketing consultant for Infinitive. His primary responsibilities were business performance tracking & reporting, pricing optimization, customer data systems integration, and data-driven marketing strategies for CPG, Retail, and Media companies. Yannick has a B.S. in Marketing and Neuroscience from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA.
