Russell Mann
Director at Topco Associates LLC
Russell Mann has spent his 20 year career turning data into insights to deliver financial management, strategy development, and operational execution. He is a currently a director at Topco Associates LLC, a $12+ billion grocery procurement co-operative. Mr. Mann oversees Topco’s operational performance, business analytics, and data management departments. He has also been tasked with leading many initiatives related to Topco’s information technology modernization, which has included business intelligence, master data management, and a large ERP implementation currently underway. Before joining Topco, he was CFO at Gettys, an international hospitality design and development firm based in Chicago. At Gettys, Mr. Mann was responsible for his firm’s finances, human resources, legal affairs, risk management and various administrative functions. Before joining Getty’s, Mr. Mann spent nearly a decade in various roles within media conglomerate, the Tribune Co., where he worked in financial, operational and strategic-management roles, which included daily operational support, audience development, and new product development, all of which were data-driven. He started his career with Ernst & Young as an auditor. He is a CPA and received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He has spoken in the past at various events, including the Data Governance Conference and Information Builders annual Summit User Conference.
